Aleksandar Indjic

Aleksandar Inđić, born on August 24, 1995, in Belgrade, Serbia, is a distinguished Serbian chess grandmaster. He earned the International Master title in 2012 and was awarded the Grandmaster title in 2013. Inđić has secured the Serbian Chess Championship title four times—in 2014, 2018, 2020, and 2023. His most notable achievement came in November 2024, when he clinched the European Individual Chess Championship with an undefeated score of 9 out of 11 points. As of January 2025, he holds a FIDE rating of 2647, ranking him as the world’s 81st player.Beyond his competitive successes, Inđić studied psychology at The University of Texas at Dallas and contributed to its chess team.Standing at 6 feet 8 inches (2.03 meters), he is notably one of the tallest grandmasters in the chess world.
