Melikset Khachiyan

Melikset Khachiyan (born 1970) is an Armenian-American chess Grandmaster and coach. He began playing chess at the age of eight and won the Baku Junior Championship at ten. Khachiyan has coached several prominent players, including Grandmaster Levon Aronian, and has represented Armenia in international competitions.

USA federation chess players competed on five teams at the FIDE World Senior Team Chess Championships, held in Krakow, Poland, July 1–12. US Chess financially supported three of the USA teams.
